A Fable about Protest

A macho vegetarian who had grown offended by health foods' wimpy image entered a busy Greena-Grossa that offered the freshest produce available.

He bought himself a coconut.

While it was still in its plastic store-bag, the man delivered the versatile fruit several violent strokes with a blunt instrument drawn from within his garments.

At which the coconut cracked openly and gave up its inner waters. Heatedly glaring while he gurgled, veggie-man received the gush of liquid into his maws.

Not yet done, the fellow broke the nut's kernel into bits and pieces and collected these in an adequate bowl - also plucked from among his clothes.

Then, voraciously, he consumed the bowlful of wet, white coconut meat.

Customers who had observed these bizarre behaviors now, in unison, asked, "Why for goodness sakes did you perform so extremely?"

In harsh voice, the Vegan began, "I --"

But his audience never heard the remainder because in sudden fear for their own safety, they scattered fast.

MORAL: Empowerment can be chaotic.
