A Fable about Attention
There was a fellow who had a habit of never paying heed when talking to himself. So even though he was fountain of ideas and notions - some good, some great, some bad, some brilliant - in the long run, he never could recall any of these insights.
As a result we do not know his name and he remains irrelevant to the history of our species.
Yet still and alas! So much might have been lost.
Moral: Either listen up, or shut up!
